Medical Director - Oncology Research Program
Dr. Coty Ho joined the Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2016 as Medical Director of the Oncology Research Program. He specializes in Hematology/Medical Oncology and he is Board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Ho’s special interests are gastrointestinal malignancies, solid tumors and clinical trials. He comes to us from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was Medical Director, St. John Physicians, Hematology & Oncology, LaFortune Cancer Center. Among his academic appointments are Assistant Professor of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, Comprehensive Cancer Center Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Oncology, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
Dr. Ho completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at The Sydney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. He served his Residency and Internship in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut. He also completed an Internship in General Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Bowman Gray-Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Ho earned his Medical Degree at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He sees patients at the Comprehensive Cancer Center’s main facility on the campus of Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs and at the Cancer Center’s satellite in La Quinta.
