Desertcare Comprehensive Cancer Care
Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Comprehensive Cancer Center in Palm Springs is an outpatient facility of Desert Regional Medical Center. The cancer center opened in 1989 to offer the Palm Springs area's first multidisciplinary outpatient cancer care program. Services include screening, diagnosis, cancer treatment, support and follow-up care.

Today this innovative model of care, which provides coordinated services under one roof, is nationally recognized by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons for meeting and exceeding 36 standards of care, including clinical services, research, data management and cancer committee leadership. In 2011, the Comprehensive Cancer Center was recognized by the Commission on Cancer (COC) with the classification of Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by providing cancer treatment in both Palm Springs and La Quinta.
