Irene Hutchins, M.D.
Dr. Irene M. Hutchins joined the Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2018 as a specialist in Hematology/Medical Oncology. She acquired her Doctor of Medicine from University of California Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, California in 2012 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at UC Davis in 2015. Dr. Hutchins completed her fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at Scripps/MD Anderson Cancer Center in La Jolla, California in 2018. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Hutchins specializes in benign and malignant hematology with emphasis on Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, and related conditions. She has been awarded the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2018 Woman of the Year title for her philanthropic work in support of blood cancer research. Dr. Hutchins sees patients at the Comprehensive Cancer Center’s main facility at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, and at the Cancer Center’s satellite in La Quinta.
